About The Department

The Department of Bengali of Brahmananda Keshab Chandra College started its journey with teaching of three years General Course in 1956 and three years Honours Course in 1970 under the University of Calcutta. From 2009, the College came under the newly founded "West Bengal State University". Students-Teacher interaction beyond the classroom is our strength.
