About The Department

The department was established as a general course department in 1956. Honours course was introduced from academic session 2016-17.

The department is at its full strength at present. The department tries to encourage interactive mode of class teaching using modern audio-visual means. The department has a well equipped library which is open for students for borrowing books. Seminars are held for the betterment of the students.
