About The Department

• Strong teacher-student interaction exists in the department.

• Students seminars on relevant topics are organized each year.

• Special lectures by eminent faculties are arranged regularly.

• Last year a One day ‘Foundation Course’ for 1st Year students was organized by the department in collaboration with A.P.C. College, Bhairab Ganguly College, Mrinalini Dutta Mahavidyapith, Sarojini Naidu College for Women.

• The Department has a Seminar Library of its own which furnishes books for the Honours and general students.

• Apart from the Traditional tools Power point presentation is used as a modern teaching aid.

• One-day visit to the International History & Heritage Exhibition at Barisha Sabarna Roy Choudhury House was organized by the department on 07.02.2018.
