About The Department

The Department came into being from the very inception of the college in 1956.Over the years the Department has produced many successful students who are now placed in various prestigious institutions.

The department always tries to encourage interactive mode of class teaching using modern audio-visual means. Students are encouraged to organize seminars on different topics of interest. Extension lectures are held in the department by inviting teachers from other colleges. The department has a well-equipped library from which students can borrow books on a regular basis. Regular Parent Teachers meetings are held to let the parents know about their ward's progress. Interested students are taken to Budget analysis sessions after the Central Budget. Occasional picnics are also arranged in the department.
